iMessage is Apple's built-in instant messaging (IM) service. It lets you send text, picture, video, sound, and location quickly and easily to anyone else using iMessage on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch.
However, if you are no longer using an Apple device, you have to switch off iMessage in order to be able to receive text messages sent to you from an iPhone to your non-ios device. Here is 6 steps to switch off imessages.
HOW TO SWITCH OFF iMESSAGES
- Transfer your SIM card to your iPhone.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Messages.
- Turn iMessage off. Go back to Settings.
- Tap FaceTime.
- Turn FaceTime off. Exit Settings.
