Since the coming on board of Donald Trump as the United States President, America’s immigration policy has been undergoing review.
Against the backdrop of concerns over the U.S. reviewed immigration policies, U.S. based immigration attorney, ChiomaAzi is set to organise a one day informational seminar tagged: "US Immigration Policy Under Trump."
The epoch-making seminar is billed for Saturday, December 16, 2017, by 2.00pm at Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
According to Azi, the seminar will focus on critical information on how to visit and study in America, including an update on Trump's administration's immigration policies and its impact.
Meanwhile, other side attractions for the event include a 30 minutes free consultation with the United States immigration attorney.
According to Azi, "Nigerians are some of the most well-travelled people on the planet. Since the founding of the country (and even earlier), Nigerians have been traveling abroad to as far away as England, the United States, and Canada, and as close as Sierra Leone and Ghana, in pursuit of educational and other opportunities.
"America however, remains a major draw for Nigerians and other foreign nationals looking for opportunities. The United States currently has more than 1.1 million international students, with African students making up approximately 4% (or 51,584) of this population.
"With the 2016 election of Donald Trump as President of the United States however, Nigerian students and nationals presently in the United States as well as those who are hopeful to travel to America are facing unparalleled challenges in trying to pursue opportunities. With the Trump’s administration’s America’s First policy, potential visitors to the U.S. will need to be as well prepared as ever to navigate a more stringent immigration system.
"Saturday December 16th 2017, I will be hosting an informational seminar entitled: "I want to go to America: Studying, Working and Visiting the United States in the age of Trump."
"This 90 minute seminar will provide a brief overview of the US immigration system, as well as critical information on how to apply to study, and visit the United States. I will also provide information on how current and future Trump Administration policy changes will impact the US immigration system and tips on how Nigerians can best position themselves to face these new policies."
