Google Stops Instant Search Feature

Google has removed the "Instant Search" from its desktop web search engine because there are more mobile users this days.

Don’t mistake Google’s "Instant Search" with the search suggestions that drop down in the search box. The first displays search results when you are typing and before you click the ‘Search’ icon or press ‘Enter’.

While search suggestions usually appear as drop down and are based on your own past.

Google search is that feature in Google search engine that shows you the search results of what it thinks you want to type before you click enter? This feature displays both related and unrelated search queries as suggestions when you are typing something in the search box. But now Google has stopped it.

Many more of our searches happen on mobile, with very different input and interaction and screen constraints. With this in mind, we have decided to remove Google Instant, so we can focus on ways to make Search even faster and more fluid on all devices.

Personally, i like the instant search feature as it makes search more faster but sometimes, it can be misleading and confusing with unrelated results. Anyway, I will miss it but not much.
